Bulguksa Temple
It is a Buddhist temple affiliated with the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism that sits in the Mt. Tohamsanon the east side of Gyeongju-si,Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, Republic of Korea.It was rebuilt on a grand scale from the times of King Gyeongdeok to King Hyegong during the Silla Dynasty. It was designated as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage in 1995.
Seokguram Grotto
As a supreme masterpiece accomplished in the heyday of Silla Buddhist art, it stands out even more with an organic combination of architecture, mathematics, geometry, religion, art, and more.It was co-registered as the 24th National Treasure and a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage.
Gyeongju Historic Areas
The areas have nicely preserved the history of Gyeongju that was the capital city of the Silla Dynasty and the splendid Buddhist culture, receiving the appraisal as diverse and highly dense historic areas.
Oksanseowon Confucian Academy
In the southeast of the academy sitsCheongbungakthat was erected by the descendants in 1972 and stores many books including Yi Eon-jeok’sSupilgobon (the 586th Treasure) and Kim Bu-sik’s full 9 volumes of Samguksagi.
Yangdong Village
It is a clan village that has been succeeded with the two major families of the Wolseong Sonclan and Yeokang Lee clan and is situated in a location that is about 40li (15.7km ) into the northeast Pohang direction along the course of the Hyeongsan River from Gyeongju.It has well preserved large houses with a longstanding history.
